Research Affiliates Chairman, Rob Arnott, talks to us about RAFI, how they are being adopted by clients here in the UK and future plans for further strategies in the space
Research Affiliates is a globally recognized investment advisor established in 2002. The company offers industry-leading smart beta and enhanced indexing, quantitative active equity, and multi-asset products. ResearchAffiliates believes that because market prices are not perfectly efficient, systematic investment strategies can provide opportunity for improved investment performance. One may argue however, that we are most commonly known for the RAFI Fundamental Indices which are built on the principles of contrarian investing and disciplined rebalancing. As our name would suggest we operate under an affiliate or distribution model. Working with key institutional names such as LGIM / Scottish Widow and in the wholesale space, Invesco an UBS to offer innovate products in both markets . Rob likes to jovially state we are the only asset manager that managed in excess of $150bn without actually “managing” the assets.
