Artemis is owned by its UK-based management team* and Affiliated Managers Group (AMG), an American international investment management company headquartered in Massachusetts. AMG owns stakes in a number of boutique asset management and private equity firms. This is a financial partnership: AMG takes a share of the revenues produced by Artemis, but does not get involved in the day-to-day running of the business. We believe that a partnership is a flexible and robust structure for an investment management business. We have always recognised that one of the key determinants of long-term success is the stability of the investment team. Artemis has a low level of turnover among fund managers and the partnership structure will ensure that this remains the case.
